From the beginning of the century, the Côte d'Azur was the playground of European aristocracy, artists, and writers seeking inspiration. The 20s and 30s saw the birth of a glamorous Riviera, where the seaside resorts of Nice, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez established themselves as dream destinations, bathed in sun and splendor. One crossed paths with Fitzgerald and Picasso, danced to the rhythm of jazz, and invented a certain idea of relaxed luxury, between sea baths and strolls under the palm trees.
Then came the 60s and 70s, the golden age of cinema and French fashion. Brigitte Bardot walking barefoot in the alleys of Saint-Tropez, Jean Seberg and Belmondo striding along the Promenade des Anglais, the Grand Prix of Monaco where elegance mingled with speed. The Riviera was synonymous with freedom, avant-garde, and carefreeness, where chic blended into a solar casualness.
It is in this spirit that Maison Flamant was born and imagined La Mauresque, a sandal that reconnects with this era where everything seemed possible.

A Tribute to Timeless Design
La Mauresque is not just a simple sandal: it is a contemporary reinterpretation of Riviera icons, a style object that spans eras. Its clean and graphic design, inspired by striped deckchairs and beach cabins of the 60s, recalls those moments when France dressed in bright colors and bold silhouettes.
Its colored stripes – azure blue, yellow, orange, and kaki green – celebrate this festive and carefree spirit, where style simplicity was obvious.
